Welcome to California Yoga Center

We offer yoga classes and workshops for all ages and abilities, with studios in Mountain View and Palo Alto. Our dedicated instructors have extensive training and many years of teaching experience.

Yoga in the Iyengar tradition emphasizes a balance between strength and flexibility, builds endurance, and develops self-awareness through precision in movement and attention to subtle aspects of posture and breath, mind and spirit.

Featured Instructor: Lily Anne Hillis

Lily's passion and enthusiasm for yoga, for her students, and for life comes through in every class she teaches. She sees yoga as life enhancing and joyous, and she has a keen eye for precision in the poses. Her classes are a blend of gentleness, humor and a bit of irreverence. Lily teaches in the Palo Alto studio. Wake up with her 6:30 am classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She also teaches Saturdays at 9:00 am and Sundays at 4:30 pm.

Restorative Yoga features a special stress-relieving poses using support so the body can completely relax.

Yoga for Teens with Vera Popova
Four-week series for teens, an introduction to the benefits of yoga.

Introduction to Pranayama with Elise Miller Students will work on breathing awareness and basic techniques of pranayama.

July 18
Back Bends with Elise Miller Explore back bending building to intermediate poses.

Starts August 5
Yoga & Meditation with Farank Parsinejad Four-week series introduces basic yoga poses, breathing, relaxation and meditation.

August 8
Restorative Yoga with Faranak Parsinejad Restorative Yoga features a special stress-relieving poses using support so the body can completely relax.

Starts August 8
Introduction to Yoga with Candy Emory This four-week series is for beginners or anyone new to Iyengar Yoga.

August 28-30
Yoga for Scoliosis, Part 2 with Elise Miller Open to anyone who is currently a yoga student and familiar with the basic poses to address their scoliosis. Teachers are also welcome.
