Welcome to California Yoga Center
We offer yoga classes and workshops for all ages and abilities, with studios in Mountain View and Palo Alto.
Our dedicated instructors have extensive training and many years of teaching experience.
Yoga in the Iyengar tradition emphasizes a balance between strength and flexibility,
builds endurance, and develops self-awareness through precision in movement and attention to subtle aspects of posture and breath, mind and spirit.

David
Boyd's classes provide a safe and fun environment for students
to make progress toward their health and wellness goals at their
own pace. His teaching focuses on doing foundation level poses
with correct alignment and appropriate support. David came to
yoga with many years of experience in sports and as a software
engineer. David teaches a Level 1 & 2 class on Tuesdays
in Mountain View from 7:30-8:45 pm. All are welcome.

Introduction to Yoga with Ann Merlo
Learn basic yoga poses and explore the stretch, strength and
relaxation of hatha yoga.
November 27
Thanksgiving Day Yoga
Holiday classes in Mountain View and Palo Alto from 9:00-10:30 am.
December 5-7
Yoga for Scoliosis, Part 2 with Elise Miller
Open to anyone who is currently a yoga student and familiar with the
basic poses to address their scoliosis. Teachers are also welcome.

Restorative Yoga with Lisa Brill Robinson
Restorative Yoga focuses on supported poses and breathwork. All are
welcome.
December 14
Releasing the Buddha Mind
Yoga & Meditation with Cora Wen
Explore the Buddhist qualities of Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity,
a practice of meditations for the heart. We will focus on opening the body to
sit comfortably for meditation, and practice recuperative and therapeutic poses.
Suitable for all levels.

Mindfulness-Based Stressed Reduction (MBSR)
This course is designed to help people learn how to deal effectively
with physical and emotional stresses. It introduces
breath training and body awareness practices, body scanning and
gentle yoga, mindful ("insight")
sitting and walking meditation,
and informal practices for daily life.
January 17
Neck & Shoulders with Suzanne Dong
Create space and freedom in the neck and shoulders. Practical
suggestions will be given on standing,
sleeping and everyday activities to hold body symmetry.
